Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) is the only level 1 trauma center serving San Francisco and northern San Mateo County. ZSFG replaced San Francisco's main hospital with a new modern facility with 403 general acute Care beds, 22 acute psychiatric, 59 Skilled Nursing Mental Health and 30 skilled nursing medical beds. ZSFG was built in the middle of an occupied campus with no reduction of inpatient or outpatient or emergency services
